The Mystery of Where We Get Oxygen

May 13, 2022 by Eric Valdespino

Did you know all of earth’s oxygen does not come from trees?

The oxygen we depend on as humans comes predominantly from the ocean. According to National Geographic, about 70% of the oxygen in the atmosphere comes from marine plants and plant-like organisms. These ocean-living plants release molecular oxygen as a waste product of photosynthesis (as do most plants). In photosynthesis, plants capture sunlight and use its energy to split carbon dioxide and water, making sugar for itself and releasing oxygen as a by-product. The dominance of ocean life as earth’s top oxygen producer makes sense when you consider that the majority of the earth is covered with ocean.

Of the different types of marine life providing oxygen, the dominant class is phytoplankton. Phytoplankton are microscopic photosynthesizing organisms that live in water. Phytoplankton includes cyanobacteria, green algae, diatoms, and dinoflagellates. Although too small to be visible to the human eye by itself, when many phytoplankton clump together they look like green ocean slime. The oxygen we depend on from breath to breath is provided mostly by a vast army of invisible sea creatures.

Is oxygen literally killing us slowly in the most unpainful way?

YES. Oxygen, as you know, causes the oxidation of substances. So, when we breathe in Oxygen, the Oxidation takes place in the atoms of our cells. Also, when we breathe in Oxygen, the Oxygen incompletely reacts with Hydrogen to form the extremely reactive hydroxide ions. This is the reason why we have antioxidants. Antioxidants prevent the oxidation of body cells by reacting with the Hydroxide ion before it reacts with the body cells. But the production of such antioxidants does not always meet the requirements, and this is when the Hydroxide ions, which are left out, start reacting with the body cells.

This reduces the life span of humans.

So, what do Human-Hybrids breathe?

In the book, the Last Alien Encounter, human-hybrids breathe a combination of oxygen and hydroxide. This allows them to live longer and build a unique technology that exists in a distant galaxy far away. It’s a story of an advance technology that’s evolved from a different human-hybrid species. After two and a half million-years of evolution, they evolved into a human-hybrid intelligent life-form that was influenced by biochemistry and geophysics science. They extended their life cycle to flourish longer, this enabled them to share their wisdom to others.
